THE VISION

Ensure that children/youth have fair and equitable opportunities along with community support, in order to conquer challenges, maximize individual potential, and enhance productive living and contributions to society.  WATCH Foundation working in tandem with social service agencies, medical providers, educational institutions, the legal system, as well as spiritual organizations and financial institutions can positively impact and accelerate the lives of children and families, thus reducing poverty and distress.   Community tensions will decrease and developing capabilities of children/youth will yield an increase in productive citizenship.  Guidance and support will restore dignity, increase hope, and promote healthy growth and development.  Obstacles will be conquered, possibilities embraced, and potential maximized.  Together we can make a difference in young lives.
 

WATCH - What About The Children Foundation is a God-given dream.  On July 31, 2014 during my prayer time I sensed these questions being asked of me - 'who will watch over the children of incarcerated parents, orphaned children?  Who will love young people struggling with legal challenges, even unwed pregnant teens. Who will help the children with untapped potential set goals and progress to achieving those goals?'  What About The Children?... the words rang out in my spirit!  Some need life skills, community outreach, leadership opportunities.  Who will visit the children who are hospitalized, celebrating birthdays and holidays? 

 

I am a professional educator, so just as a teacher would, I began to write down my thoughts and plans to intervene in the lives of children experiencing these circumstances.  Then, on August 2, 2014, while sitting at The Complete Woman Conference, hosted by Prophetess Janice Mixon, the dream became clearer.  God had planted and begun to water the vision to support children throughout my life.

 

Honestly, I was overwhelmed.  I retired from my career as an educator and school administrator in 2021, but the vision was still alive.  I began to watch others birth dreams and research ho to start a nonprofit.  I was advised to reach out to a small business advisor for support through ta women's entrepreneur program at Texas Women's University.  The wisdom, encouragement, and direction I received allowed the vision God had planted to become a reality.  WATCH Foundation was legally organized in Texas in May 2022.  God favored the organization and in less than 30 days, the Internal Revenue Service approved WATCH - What About Ther Children as a 501 (c)(3) public charity.

WATCH Foundation is a 100% charitable and educational/training nonprofit, focused on youth development.  The program initiatives will decrease poverty and lack, promoted health and improve/develop learning progress.  Caring communities will be a product of coaching and mentoring youth to promote life skills, community collaboration and engagement, and individual success.
